Second Calvary Baptist Church presents the “Church Matters” sermon series with the theme, “Real People. Real Faith. Real Life. Together.” Inspired by Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 (NIV) and the message, “Because life is better together,” the series will be led by Rev. Dr. L. Stephon Johnson, Pastor.
The series begins on September 20 with “The Risks of Missing Church” from John 20:19–24, encouraging believers not to miss what God is doing when the church comes together. On September 27, the message will be “The Rewards of Being in the Right Room” from Acts 20:7–10, emphasizing the importance of being connected to the right people and the right place. On October 4, “It’s Better in the House” from Psalm 84:10 will focus on the peace, provision, and purpose found in God’s house. October 11 will feature “Don’t Do Life Alone” from Hebrews 10:23–25, reminding us that we need one another for encouragement, support, and faithfulness. The series concludes on October 18 with “Don’t Leave Without the Blessing” from Numbers 6:24–26, encouraging everyone to stay connected, stay covered, and receive what God has for them.
Services are held Sundays at 11:00 a.m. at Second Calvary Baptist Church, 1110 Mason Road, Columbia, SC 29203. You belong here! Come worship, grow together, and serve others.
